Royal Hall, Harrogate

Location: United Kingdom

The Royal Hall, Harrogate is a beautiful grade two listed building in the heart of North Yorkshire. When a major refurbishment took place in 2006 The Royal Hall saw an opportunity to install an induction loop system that could provide a reliable, comprehensive coverage of the entire theatre, ensuring that members of the hard of hearing community that attend the facility receive an equally excellent audio experience.

Stage Electrics Nick Broad said that “We specified Ampetronic’s equipment and expertise because the company’s loop amplifiers are the best on the market, while the design and support the company offers is of the highest level”. With a vast wealth of experience and knowledge for installing induction loop systems in delicate buildings, Ampetronic was the obvious choice for design and equipment.

Ampetronic worked alongside installer Stage Electrics to install two induction loop systems providing coverage across the ground floor area, the Mezzanine area and the Balcony area.

At first there was a concern that the induction loops may interfere with one another, but Ampetronic’s very own James Bottrill explains that “our low spill systems can severely limit unwanted interaction and it didn’t cause any problems.”
