When a customer recently sent us an ILD9 for an upgrade, he did not realise that he was returning a piece of Ampetronic’s history. The serial number showed that the unit was the first ever induction loop driver to roll off production, back in 1987. It has been in operation since that time. It was installed in Croydon’s Salvation Army Citadel and was only returned to the factory for an upgrade, in anticipation that it would then run for another 16 years!
The ILD9 unit broke new ground in the industry when it was developed by MD Leon Pieters and was built to last, giving extreme reliability.
