The Catholic Church in Unterbäch is located in a small mountain village in the Swiss Alps and serves both the local community and seasonal visitors. To ensure inclusive access to spoken word during services, the church invested in a modern assistive listening system that delivers clear, reliable audio for hearing aid users.
Challenge
The church required an assistive listening system that could be integrated discreetly into the existing building while delivering consistent coverage throughout the seating area. With a varied
audience of local residents and international visitors, the solution needed to be reliable, easy to use, fully compliant with recognised accessibility standards, and capable of supporting
users with different listening preferences. Just as importantly, it needed to provide a future-ready platform that could adapt to evolving assistive listening technologies.
Solution
An Ampetronic C10-1N hearing loop driver and Auri™ TX2N transmitter were installed to provide a complete assistive listening solution. The hearing loop delivers clear audio directly to hearing aids and cochlear implants, while Auri™, powered by Ampetronic | Listen Technologies, provides an Auracast™ broadcast audio solution for Auracast-compatible devices.
Comprehensive testing confirmed excellent coverage, speech intelligibility, and full standards compliance throughout the church.
The system was straightforward to integrate and delivered consistent, standards‑compliant performance across the church, meeting both technical and accessibility requirements.
