Auracast™ broadcast audio is making its way onto the live music stage, and spoiler alert: it's Auri™ helping make it happen. Selected dates on Beverley Knight's Born To Perform tour will feature Auracast™ as part of the audience listening experience.

Selected dates in Bath, Bristol, London, Southend, Cardiff, and Wolverhampton will offer Auracast™, enabling audience members with compatible hearing devices, including cochlear implants, to connect directly to audio being broadcast within the venue. Beverley Knight announced the participating dates on Instagram.

This marks an important step for assistive listening in live performance settings. While Auracast™ has been widely discussed as a next-generation audio solution, its use within a touring production where systems must operate consistently across multiple venues reflects a more advanced level of real-world application.

Recent coverage has described the tour as one of the first to introduce Auracast™ across multiple live dates, highlighting growing momentum for broadcast audio in live music environments.

The deployment has been delivered in collaboration with the tour's audio team and Open Door Audio. Using Auri™ as the Auracast™ transmission platform, the team has integrated broadcast audio into existing live sound workflows across a range of venues, from theatres to larger performance spaces.

In this context, Auracast™ provides an additional approach to assistive listening, enabling direct audio delivery to compatible personal devices while complementing existing systems. For individuals who rely on hearing technology, this can improve clarity and access in environments that have traditionally been more challenging.

The personal motivation behind the initiative has also been shared by the artist, referencing her mother’s experience with hearing loss and the difficulty of following live performances using a cochlear implant. This highlights the practical impact that improved audio accessibility can have within live music.

From a technical standpoint, deploying Auracast™ within a touring environment requires coordination with existing audio infrastructure to ensure reliable transmission and consistent performance across venues. In these deployments, Auri™ forms a key part of the transmission chain, enabling Auracast™ to be delivered within professional live sound environments.

As Auracast™ continues to be introduced across different applications, its use in live touring provides a clear reference point for how broadcast audio can move beyond fixed installations and into real-world performance settings.
