Stadium Taranaki, New Zealand

Location: New Plymouth, New Zealand

Stadium Taranaki in New Plymouth, New Zealand, has integrated Auri™ by Listen Technologies and Ampetronic, powered by Auracast™, as part of a major redevelopment to enhance accessibility for all visitors, especially fans with hearing loss. The project replaced a planned traditional hearing loop system with Auri’s Auracast-based assistive listening solution due to the complexity of the venue’s expanded stands and infrastructure.

The installation includes four Dante-enabled Auri™ transmitters covering key public areas and 32 on-demand receivers, delivering clear, low-latency audio directly to personal devices such as hearing aids, earbuds and smartphones. This deployment is one of the first stadium Auracast™ installations in Australasia and demonstrates a future-focused approach to inclusive audio experiences in large public venues.

The collaboration between the stadium, local integrator Provision Technologies and distributor Jands ensured a solution that prioritises equal access, innovation and flexibility. Comments from project partners highlight the milestone this represents in redefining what accessibility can look like in live event environments.
